Experience:
Mr. Love's extensive background in patent law began 40 years ago when he joined the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His experience includes reviewing patent applications, managing and reviewing the patent examination process and establishing patent examination policy. He has also given numerous presentations at national and international meetings on patent examination policy. Before joining Burleson Cooke Mr. Love was Deputy Commissioner for Patent Examination Policy with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1974).
Professional:
Virginia State Bar; participated in the 1984-5 Department of Commerce Science and Technology Fellowship Program, during which he was detailed to the International Trade Administration; Has served as chairman of the Supervisory Patent Examiners and Classifiers Organization (SPECO); and he is a member of the honorary mechanical engineering fraternity, Pi Tau Sigma.
